The Disability Data set aims to identify disparities, track progress, support advocacy efforts, and inform policy planning and resource allocation. It utilizes national population-based data from various sources. Currently, it houses information for 63 countries across 28 main indicators, disaggregated by factors such as age, sex, and type and severity of functional difficulty. Using a functional approach to define disability, as outlined by the Washington Group on Disability Statistics, the data focuses on individuals’ challenges in performing essential daily activities.
