As part of the “Geospatial Assessment of Women Employment and Business Opportunities in the Energy Sector” project, open-source Gender-related spatial data was collected for 31 Small Island Developing States (SIDS) across the globe, resulting in curated and thoroughly documented geodatabases (GDBs) that are now ready to be explored! 
Fifty-nine spatial layers were identified and then researched for each country, covering the following categories: Demographics and Population | Renewable Energy | Energy Access | Education | Jobs and Finance | Digital Inclusion | Transportation | Safety | Amenities | Climate/Earth | Law/Policy/Government. 


However, not every country GDB contains all 59 data layers, as this was dependent on the availability of open-source data in each SIDS. Users are encouraged to check the accompanying metadata excel file for more information on the datasets in each GDB, the vintage, and the

South Africa - Quarterly Labour Force Survey 2021

Data Processing Notes: For Q4 2021 Statistics South Africa continued to use Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI), in an attempt to reduce the spread of COVID-19. This meant that households without telephones were out of scope. See the statistical release for more information. INDIVIDUALS: labour market activity, labour preferences, labour market history, demographic characteristics, marital status, employment status, education, grants, tax. From 2010 the income data collected by South Africa's Quarterly Labour Force Survey is no longer provided in the QLFS dataset (except for a brief return in QLFS 2010 Q3 which may be an error). Possibly because the data is unreliable at the level of the quarter, Statistics South Africa now provides the income data from the QLFS in an annualized dataset called Labour Market Dynamics in South Africa (LMDSA). The datasets for LMDSA are available from DataFirst's website.
