This assessment provides a detailed analysis of flood and coastal risks in the Greater Banjul Area (GBA) and surrounding region, covering Banjul, Kanifing municipality, Kombo North, Kombo Central, and Kombo South. The study includes digital elevation modeling, building mapping, subsidence assessment, and analysis of coastal erosion dynamics using 30 years of satellite imagery. It identifies risk hotspots and proposes prioritized infrastructure investments for disaster and climate resilience. The assessment estimates Average Annual Damage at US$21.6 million for 2020, projected to increase to US$28.6 million by 2040 due to climate change.
