This data package for the Kyrgyz Republic consists of two main files, providing comprehensive GIS datasets and analyses for key environmental and administrative features.
The first file '' Kyrgyzstan CCDR Data Package'' is grouped into three main folders:
- Impact Channel Notes: This folder has 12 short documents that explain how the analysis was done, what data was used, and the main findings. The first note describes how climate scenarios were chosen. Notes 2–9 cover how different climate impacts were modeled for the economy and key sectors. Note 10 looks at water resources and irrigation for agriculture, note 11 covers hydropower for energy, and note 12 discusses agricultural trade based on crop and livestock modeling.
- Climate Scenarios: This folder contains files showing how climate scenarios were selected and what they look like. You’ll find: (1) A chart showing expected changes in temperature and rainfall. (2) A list of the chosen climate scenarios. (3) Monthly rainfall data for each scenario, mapped across the country. (4) Geospatial files showing the areas covered.
- Output Files: This folder includes the results from the analysis, organized by topic. Each subfolder matches one of the notes from above and contains data files showing the effects of different climate scenarios. There’s also a document explaining what each file contains and how to read the results.
The second file ''Kyrgyzstan GIS and Maps Data Package for the CCDR'' contains GIS datasets for the Kyrgyz Republic, including administrative boundaries (levels 1 and 2), dam locations and servicesheds, land use and cover with degradation status, degraded area maps, biomass carbon stock, sediment export and soil loss rates under various scenarios, and tabulated summaries at oblast and national levels. It also includes data on the potential impact of sustainable practices and runoff curve numbers for flood analysis.
