This data set contains 1,381 country-year observations of harmonized national poverty lines, expressed in daily per capita 2017 purchasing power parity (PPP) dollars. These are the poverty lines the World Bank used to derive its international poverty line of $2.15 and higher lines of $3.65 and $6.85 more relevant for measuring poverty in lower- and upper-middle-income countries, respectively. For more details about the harmonization of national poverty lines across countries and the derivation of these official poverty lines of the World Bank, see Jollife ⓡ al. (2024).
