Fathom offers its flood data for non-commercial use, free of charge, to 16 countries under a new agreement with the World Bank.

These countries are among the most vulnerable to climate change, such as Pakistan, Somalia, and Yemen, which often struggle with limited data resources.

The Fathom’s Global Flood Map is a global gridded dataset of flood hazards produced at a global scale. This version offers a 30-meter resolution, or 1 arcsecond, globally and is based on the FABDEM+ digital elevation model.

The dataset covers both defended and undefended fluvial, pluvial, and coastal flooding scenarios for distinct return periods ranging from 5 to 1000 years.

The data is available for the current climate (2020) as well as for future climate scenarios (SSP1-2.6, SSP2-4.5, SSP5-8.5, SSP3-7.0) at 2030, 2050, and 2080 time horizons.
