The FAO has developed a monitoring system in 26 food crisis countries to better understand the impacts of various shocks on agricultural livelihoods, food security and local value chains. The Monitoring System consists of primary data collected from households on a periodic basis (more or less every four months, depending on seasonality). The FAO conducted the third round of the DIEM-Monitoring among households to assess agricultural livelihoods and food security in the Central African Republic between 6 September and 6 October 2022. Data were collected through telephone surveys in 17 prefectures: Bangui, Bamingui Bangoran, Basse Kotto, Haute Kotto, Haut Mbomou, Kémo, Lobaye, Mambéré Kadeï, Mbomou, Nana Manbéré, Nana-Gribizi, OMbella M'Poko, Ouaka, Ouham, Ouham-Pendé, Sangha Mbaéré and Vakaga. A total of 1 985 households were interviewed. Data collection took place during the rainy season. For more information, please go to https://data-in-emergencies.fao.org/pages/monitoring
