The FAO has developed a monitoring system in 26 food crisis countries to better understand the impacts of various shocks on agricultural livelihoods, food security and local value chains. The Monitoring System consists of primary data collected from households on a periodic basis (more or less every four months, depending on seasonality). Between 24 October and 27 November 2021 FAO launched a face-to-face household survey. About 3,840 households were planned and 3,685 (96%) of households responded to the survey across the 14 administrative districts (admin 2 level) according to the 2015 population and housing census from 340 enumeration areas.
