Niger like the other countries of the Sahel (Mali, Burkina Faso) is faced with agro-pastoral crises mainly due to consecutive droughts and high climate variability. These crises have resulted in the reduction of the livelihoods of populations based on agriculture and livestock, thus worsening food insecurity and malnutrition within households. They are exacerbated by the insecurity that prevails in cross-border municipalities.
