UNHCR continuously collects data on protection incidents in the Central African Republic as the lead in the protection cluster. This dataset contains incidents reported on victims in 14 of the 15 prefectures of the Central African Republic between January and December 2019. Protection incidents were continuously collected through the period by UNHCR partners INTERSOS and ASA, leveraging their network of community relay (197) and protection committees (26) across the 14 prefectures. A total of 2485 protection incidents allegedly perpetrated on individuals are recorded in this dataset through the year 2019. It is however important to not that the number of incidents recorded in January and February may not be representative given the small numbers observed.
