The Indonesia Non-Tariff Measures (NTMs) dataset is the first high-frequency panel dataset developed by the World Bank in collaboration with the Indonesian government and in coordination with UNCTAD. It captures the full range of NTMs imposed by a country on its trade. This dataset enhances and extends previous collections by UNCTAD and ERIA through broader source coverage, tailored data structuring, and more frequent updates. It employs the HS 2022 classification for goods and the MAST 2019 classification for NTM codes. Structured as a panel at the product-month-year level, each NTM is represented as a binary variable. Additionally, the dataset has been reformatted to align with UNCTAD standards and has been used to update Indonesia’s data in the UNCTAD TRAINS and WITS databases.
