As part of the “Geospatial Assessment of Women Employment and Business Opportunities in the Energy Sector” project, open-source Gender-related spatial data was collected for 31 Small Island Developing States (SIDS) across the globe, resulting in curated and thoroughly documented geodatabases (GDBs) that are now ready to be explored! 
Fifty-nine spatial layers were identified and then researched for each country, covering the following categories: Demographics and Population | Renewable Energy | Energy Access | Education | Jobs and Finance | Digital Inclusion | Transportation | Safety | Amenities | Climate/Earth | Law/Policy/Government. 


However, not every country GDB contains all 59 data layers, as this was dependent on the availability of open-source data in each SIDS. Users are encouraged to check the accompanying metadata excel file for more information on the datasets in each GDB, the vintage, and the

Uganda

The Uganda 2018 Resilience Index Measurement and Analysis (RIMA) measures the food security and resilience of refugees and host communities in South-West Uganda. The survey was administered in March 2018 in two districts of Southwest Uganda. The data were collected through surveys of both refugee and host community households, coordinated by the Resilience Measurement Unit (RMU) of the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM). The survey covered a total of 705 households from refugee and host communities. It was conducted in the settlements of Kyaka II and Rwamwanja (housing refugees from Burundi and the DRC, among other countries), as well as nearby host communities in the districts of Kyegegwa (for Kyaka II) and Kamwenge (for Rwamwanja).

Data Processing Notes: The description of scope for the survey includes: - Socio-demographic characteristics of households; - Food security, including a detailed food consumption module, and well-being; - Shocks, assistance, perceived resilience capacity, coping strategies and aspirations; - Access to basic services; - Employment; - Agricultural and livestock production, comprising questions regarding the land which a household owns or over which it has user rights.
