The Macro Poverty Outlook (MPO) analyzes macroeconomic and poverty developments in 146 developing countries. The report is released twice annually for the Spring and Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund. The MPO consists of individual country notes that provide an overview of recent developments, forecasts of major macroeconomic variables and poverty during 2020-2022, and a discussion of critical challenges for economic growth, macroeconomic stability, and poverty reduction moving forward.

Due to the extraordinary economic conditions caused by the COVID-19 crisis, the economic forecasts released in April in the MPO have been updated on June 8th. The country tables within the regional web pages and the data dashboard below have been updated to reflect these new forecasts.
