For the Semarang area generally two types of floods are typical and have to be taken into account accordingly: a. Tidal floods in coastal areas due to land subsidence
Rates ranging from 1 to 17 cm/year. These results are confirmed by the recent InSAR subsidence calculation based on Sentinel 1 Radar Data performed by JR within the frame of this project. b. Short-term local floods and river floods after heavy thunderstorms.
The present Geodatabase includes 12 stages of coastal water extent between 1995 and 2017 to demonstrate the increase of flooded areas.
