Water Quality Analysis for Lake Titicaca (2003-2011) measured by:

b) Phytoplankton and Chlorophyll a: Chlorophyll a is one essential pigment included in phytoplankton cells and therefore a measure of phytoplankton. Common unit of chlorophyll is [µg/l].

Data Notes: 
The spatial resolution of the map products is split into three levels of folders, from 500m for MODIS, 300m for MERIS, to 50m and 5m for RapidEye products. RapidEye data are delivered in 50m resolution covering the large areas of the lake, and in 5m resolution only for few areas covering the bay of Puno and a river mouth in the northern part of the lake, where the high spatial resolution is of significant advantage. For RapidEye data only total suspended matter maps are delivered, as the chlorophyll product is assumed to be unstable due to the reduced radiometric and spectral resolution of this sensor.
